Objective
Evaluation of the initial results of replacement surgery knee joint at Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
Research Methods:
Nghiên cứu tiến cứu. Từ 6/2008 đến 6/2011, chúng tôi đã tiến hành phẫu thuật thay khớp gối toàn phần, loại cắt bỏ chằng rear cross, did not replace the kneecap for 14 patients (14 knee joints) with indications for joint replacement.

Thời gian nằm viện trung bình: 14 ngày. Thời gian theo dõi trung bình: 14 tháng. Nguyên nhân chủ yếu là osteoarthritis primary (accounting for 78.6%). Post-traumatic knee osteoarthritis accounts for 14.3%. The results according to the KFS scale after surgery had a very good rate of 62.3%, good 28.6%, average 7.1%. The average range of motion of the knee joint is 1100, the limit of stretching below 100 is 2 knee joints, there are no cases of stiffness in the knee. According to KS: the rate of patients was very good 62.3%, good 21.4% and average 14.3%.
Conclusion
Total knee replacement surgery provides good pain relief for patients with advanced osteoarthritis, and at the same time, provides relatively complete knee mobility for patients.

ABSTRACT
TO EVALUATE THE INITIAL RESULTS OF TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY AT THE THONG NHAT HOSPITAL, HO CHI MINH CITY
Objective
To evaluate the initial results of total knee replacement surgery at the Thong Nhat hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
Methods
prospective study. From 6/2008 to 6/2011, we had surgery total knee replacement, removal of the PCL, patellar not change for 14 patients (14 knees).
Results
Over 14 patients in the study: the average age 67 years (youngest 61, oldest 75). There are three men (21.4%), 11 women (78.6%). 10 left knees and right knees were operated on. No patients both knees replaced. The diagnosis was osteoarthritis in 11 patients (78.6%), traumatic arthritis in 2 patients (14.3%), rheumatoid arthritis in 1 patient (7.1). The average of hospital stay: 14 days. The av erage follow-up time: 14 months. KFS after surgery has a very good rate is 62.3%, good 28.6%, fair 7.1%. KS, 62 .3% were rated as excellent, 21 .4% as good; 14.3% as fair. The average range of motion was 1100.
Conclusion
Surgery total knee replacement gives good results for osteoarthritis disease in later stages, and provides good motor function.
